The traditional faith in Uganda have persistently experienced a great reduction in their congregation with the youth being the most unstable part of Church. The case is worst with the rural area.

Partly the migration of the youth is that their expectations, values and beliefs are not always met. This has triggered a redundant, unfocused youth ready to adapt any change, yet an evil mind is a devil’s workshop. As a result the world has seen a wave of evil practices that are slowly eating up Christian virtues and doctrines.

Youth Evangelistic Services – Uganda (Y.E.S.U) is Tye’s initiative that aims at renewing faith among the Christian youth. This strategy empowers places of worship to stimulate the youth involvement into church activities. Y.E.S.U aims at strengthening the praise and worship approach thus bring young people  closer to Christian doctrines.

Activities

Skills transfer: Y.E.S.U Trains Christian youth to manage music as well as modern instruments in church.

Equipment supply: Y.E.S.U works with local churches to source and finance music instruments for church choirs by linking churches to service providers on long term financing.

Production: A music recording studio located at the CIC produces the compositions from the local churches.

Tye Band: Tye band ministers to congregations. Tye band supports less privileged Christian youth to develop their music talent. Such youth commonly find a living on these skills after studies.

Fund raising: Anglican Bang Concert Day (ABCD) and Anglican Musical Event Night (AMEN) are annual top-class Gospel-music concerts specifically organized to generate resources for Y.E.S-U. These also offer an opportunity for Christians to socialize. AMEN
